As a Primary Care Paramedic Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering acute care within thesurgery. Working autonomously but with full clinical support, you will managepatients presenting with a wide range of minor illness and injury, as well aslong-term conditions where appropriate. You will assess, diagnose, treat, referor signpost patients who attend the surgery. The post holder will havetelephone, face to face and home visit appointments.

Main duties of the job
  • Provide clinical assessment, diagnosis,treatment, and evaluation of patients
  • Manage same-day appointments, triage, and homevisits
  • Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses,pharmacists, and other allied health professionals
  • Support the management of long-term conditionsand care planning
  • Promote health education and prevention
  • To treat, as appropriate and within the scope ofpractice
  • To signpost appropriately to other services

The Role

  • Confident and efficient using Microsoft Officeand IT based patient clinical systems EMIS is preferable

Person Specification
Experience
  • - Registered Paramedic with the HCPC
  • - Occupation Health Clearance
  • - Confident and efficient using Microsoft Office and IT based patient clinical systems EMIS is preferable
  • - Experience in an urgent care or primary care setting is desirable
  • - Independent prescriber or willingness to work towards it (desirable)
