A regional healthcare provider located in the UK is seeking a Paramedic Learning Facilitator to enhance the learning experiences of learners and mentors within ambulance operations. The role involves both operational shifts and supporting educational activities, requiring a paramedic degree and experience in mentoring. Ideal candidates will be passionate about improving learner experiences and have completed a mentoring module. This is a full-time position offering an engaging application and assessment process.
The Paramedic Learning Facilitator supports sectors to deliver the best possible learning experiences for learners and mentors/practice educators within PES Operations. This role is suited to individuals with a strong background in supporting learners and a passion for improving learner experiences.
Suitable candidates will be qualified to degree level as a paramedic and have experience supporting learners as a practice educator/mentor. Candidates must have completed a relevant mentoring learner module. Ideally, candidates will hold or be working toward relevant teaching/learning qualifications at the point of application; these will be provided post‑appointment where appropriate.
North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365‑day a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport. Our highly skilled staff deliver life‑saving care to patients in the community, take people to hospital or a place of care, and provide non‑emergency patient transport services. Additionally, we work to ensure public safety in the event of a major incident and deliver the NHS 111 service.
Applications will be shortlisted against the relevant criteria in the person specification. Candidates should be able to describe their experience in supporting a range of learners in the practice environment and the impact on those learners.
Successful short‑list candidates will be invited to an assessment centre on Friday 16 January 2026. The centre may include completion of a situational judgement assessment, group and individual activities, and a professional discussion.
