Pay Rates:

  • Paramedic (PAYE/Bank) Days: £26.00
  • Paramedic (PAYE/Bank) Nights and Weekends: £31.00

What will you be doing:
  • Working as part of a team, with an Emergency Care Assistant.
  • Providing lifesaving treatment and stabilising patients, preparing them for transporting.
  • Using your own appropriate knowledge and skills to make judgements and treatment following your level of training and competency.
  • Responding to operational requirements in a safe and efficient way as directed by the Emergency Operations Centre.
  • Driving all types of approved Ambulance Service vehicles under normal and emergency (blue light) conditions in accordance with road traffic law.
Role Requirements:
  • Hold a UK manual ‘Category B’ driving licence for at least 1 year, no more than 6 points on your licence, and be over the age of 23 (for insurance purposes).
  • Hold a paramedic qualification, be on the HCPC register and hold an emergency driving qualification.
  • Physical fitness is important in this role as there is sometimes a requirement to reach inaccessible patients in a hurry, carry out manual handling and CPR.
  • Have a warm and caring personality with the ability to connect with people.
  • Have quality references covering the last three years of employment history and a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
