Job Overview

These are exciting times at ARAG Law as we are going through a period of positive change and sustained growth across our friendly and high-performing Legal departments. As a result, we are looking for someone to join us as a Paralegal in our Contracts team, within the wider Volume Litigation division in our Bristol office.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of claims within an area of law that is aligned with your knowledge and experience. You will be encouraged to take early responsibility for the litigation process, albeit always under appropriate supervision.

You’ll also help to drive a culture of effective and efficient case handling, take personal ownership of customer problems until resolution, work to support the delivery of SLA’s, KPI’s financial & performance targets, and share knowledge and best practice with your wider team.

Key Candidate Requirements
  • Law Graduate i.e. Legal Executive, LPC / BVC / LLB (essential).
  • Post‑graduate legal qualification(s) and / or some relevant legal work experience (desirable).
  • Sound practical knowledge of UK law; knowledge of Landlord & Tenant law will be an advantage.
  • Exceptional telephone manner and can demonstrate honesty, empathy and sensitivity when dealing with our customers.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team with a collaborative, customer‑focused approach.
  • Strong negotiation skills, analytical, methodical and proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Resilient and motivated to provide a high‑quality performance in a busy, fast‑paced environment.
