Post-Completion Conveyancing Paralegal

Location: Stafford

Hours: Part-Time (Flexible)

Salary: £23,000-£25,000 pro-rata

As a recruitment partner to a long-established, family-focused law firm based in StaffordI am supporting them in the hire of an experienced Post-Completion Conveyancing Paralegal. This is an excellent opportunity for aancing professional seeking long-term stability, flexible working hours and a supportive, close-knit team environment.

Having operated for generations, the firm continues to thrive purely through word-of-mouth referrals and an exceptionally loyal client base. The Role

This position sits within the conveyancing team and is fully office-based in Stafford, with no requirement to travel to the firms Rugeley office.

You will work primarily on post-completion residential conveyancing, with some exposure to commercial matters where needed.

Day-to-day duties include:

    >Managing approximately 8090 post-completion matters per month
  • Handling all post-completion administration, including:
    • SDLT submissions
    • Land Registry applications
    • AP1s, OS1/2, RX forms
    • Dealing with requisitions and cancellation notices
  • Maintaining accurate progress tracking via a spreadsheet-based case management system (No complex Excel skills required it functions as a simple database)
  • Ensuring all deadlines are met and the internal post-completion workflow is maintained
  • Communicating clearly with clients and third parties, answering queries independently using your conveyancing knowledge
  • Supporting an existing team member who is not trained in conveyancing
Experience & Skills Required

The firm is looking for someone who can confidently manage the post-completion process with minimal supervision. Ideal candidates will bring:

  • Previous experience in residential conveyancing (essential)
  • Solid understanding of the full post-completion process
  • Experience using case management systems (the firm uses ALB/PMS, but any similar system is fine)
  • >Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A stable employment history
  • The ability to work independently while contributing to a small, friendly team

This role is particularly well-suited to returning-to-work professionals or experienced conveyancers wanting a steady, long-term position rather than rapid progression.
