Role

The full‑time role is based in Manchester with the flexibility for some remote work post probation. The Paralegal will be responsible for administrative tasks, legal document preparation, communication with clients and stakeholders, conducting legal research, and document review.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Excellent client care skills;
  • Law and legal document preparation skills;
  • Strong communication skills with telephone experience;
  • The ability to proactively manage your time and work load;
  • A willingness to learn and work to deadlines;
  • The ability to manage in a busy and fast paced working environment;
  • Research and document review skills;
  • A high attention to detail and organisational skills;
  • Using initiative to contribute to workload;
  • The ability to work both independently and in a team;
  • Experience in Microsoft Office and the use a case management system;
  • Previous experience in a legal setting is preferred, however previous experience in financial mis‑selling is not essential as full training will be provided;
  • Paralegal certification or relevant degree/qualification.
Responsibilities
  • Handle in and out bound correspondence and telephone calls;
  • Administrative tasks such as dealing with post, collating and preparing client and stakeholder documentation, preparing documentation;
  • Drafting correspondence;
  • Reviewing the prospects of each matter and acting in the best interest of the clients;
  • Being aware of any risks and highlighting potential issues to management;
  • Adhere to Data Protection and client confidentiality.
