Job Overview

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Painter/Decorator at HMP Kirklevington Grange, Yarm, Cleveland TS15 9PA. Standard hours are 39 hours per week, with a rota from 08:00 to 16:30 Monday-Thursday, and 08:00 to 15:30 Friday. The role supports the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) account, delivering Facilities Management services to secure prisons. Join our vibrant, inclusive community.

Responsibilities

• Comfortable working alongside prisoners.
• Good awareness and understanding of personal health and safety, method statements and risk assessments.
• Sharing best practice with others.
• Planned and reactive paint work in all areas of the prison.
• Responsibility for the care and maintenance of tools, materials and additional company property.
• Compliance with relevant company Health & Safety Policy, instructions and directive.
• Guiding and supporting prisoners in Painting and Decorating as part of Amey's CRED programme.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 in Painting and Decorating (consideration will be given to NVQ level 2).
• Previous relevant work‑related experience essential.
• Prison Security Clearance required (Amey will support you through the process).
