Painter – Temporary Contract (Key Worker Accommodation)
Hours
- 42.5 hours per week (Mon to Fri)
Plumber Duties
- Complete a range of plumbing repairs, including carpentry repairs and maintenance within occupied and void properties, and associated works.
Pay Rate
- £27.00 per hour (CIS or Umbrella)
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (30‑minute break)
An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Repairs Supervisor to join a well‑established main contractor specialising in social housing maintenance. This temporary ongoing role is based in North London and offers competitive pay, along with a van and fuel card for business use.
This is a fantastic role for someone with strong leadership skills and a background in housing repairs and maintenance, looking to take the lead in a busy and fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of multi‑trade operatives and subcontractors to ensure high‑quality service delivery across all assigned repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Work collaboratively with the Contracts Management team to support the achievement of project targets and KPIs.
- Monitor performance of operatives and subcontractors, ensuring works are completed on time, to budget, and in line with health & safety regulations.
- Develop positive relationships with internal teams, clients, and residents, ensuring strong communication and customer satisfaction.
- Act as the first point of contact for any on‑site queries or escalations, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Ensure all documentation, including job tickets and reports, are completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, quality assurance, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory or team‑leader role within social housing or property maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of responsive repairs and void works.
- Excellent people‑management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage workloads effectively and work under pressure.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Experience using job‑management systems or PDAs is desirable.

Multi‑Trade Roofer – Reactive and Planned Maintenance (Harlow)
Works include roof repairs, tiling, fascia/soffit work, and general exterior maintenance.
Requirements
- Roofing & multi‑trade experience (social housing preferred).
- Experience carrying out damp and mould remediation in line with Awaab's Law, with additional painting and decorating duties as required.
- Proven experience in damp and mould treatment (painting experience desirable).
- Basic DBS.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
- Company van, fuel card, and PDA system provided.
Key Responsibilities / Skills
- Plumbing repairs and maintenance (leaks, pipework, taps, toilets, baths, showers).
- Diagnosis and repair of plumbing faults.
- Bathroom repairs and resealing.
- Minor carpentry and making good.
- Basic plastering and surface preparation.
- Painting and decorating (making good).
- Damp and mould washing, treatment, and prevention.
- General property repairs and maintenance.
- Accurate fault finding and rectification.
- Use of a PDA to record and manage daily work.
