Paint Maintenance Shift Technician (Electrical Biased)

Location: Banbury

Salary: £54,483 per annum (including shift premium)

Hours / Shift: 37.5 hours per week, rotating shifts

Shift Pattern
  • Week 1: Monday–Tuesday (07:00–19:00), Saturday–Sunday (19:00–07:00)
  • Week 2: Wednesday–Thursday (07:00–19:00)
  • Week 3: Monday–Tuesday (19:00–07:00), Friday–Sunday (07:00–19:00)
  • Week 4: Wednesday–Thursday (19:00–07:00)
About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Paint Maintenance Shift Technician (Electrical Biased) to provide technical support and maintenance within paint operations. This role is key to ensuring plant performance, safety, and efficiency, while supporting departmental goals and business targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, and IATF 16949 standards.
  • Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance duties across paint operations.
  • Respond quickly to plant equipment issues to maintain quality and uptime.
  • Participate in problem-solving activities (8D, A3 techniques) and continuous improvement projects.
  • Support installation of new technology and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records using CMMS systems and manage spares inventory.
  • Promote 5S processes, safe working practices, and PPE compliance.
  • Contribute to cost reduction initiatives, energy‑saving measures, and waste minimisation.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors, and other departments.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Time-served electrical apprenticeship.
  • IOSH trained.
  • Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance techniques and CMMS systems.
  • Familiarity with CDM policies and practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
