Overview

I am a 33 year old lady. I have a diagnosis of Friedreich's ataxia. I am a wheelchair user and have a severe sight impairment. I am looking for an enthusiastic person to accompany me on trips to Derby (I like to shop) on the bus and into the local community of Heanor to access activities there. I will need someone who is able to push my wheelchair. No personal care is required as I will be supported by carers before and after outings.

Responsibilities

• Accompany me on trips to Derby and within the local community of Heanor to access activities.
• Push my wheelchair as needed during outings.
• Assist with travel on the bus and participate in activities with me.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Enthusiastic and reliable
• Able to push a wheelchair and assist with mobility during outings
• No personal care required; support is provided by carers before and after outings
• A p.a. is required for 4 hours per week, either on a Tuesday or Thursday between 2pm and 6pm
• Higher hourly rate of £13 per hour would be paid for this role
