• Client authorisation (NG, SPEN, NGED & SSE).
• Full UK Drivers Licence required.

Overhead Line Workers

UK wide

Upto £80'000 per annum

Green Scout has an immediate need for several Overhead Line workers on a permanent basis across the UK. The end client design, build and commission substations at voltages up to and including 400kV. Their teams construct and maintain transmission lines and substations, ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of electricity. They are the only Overhead Lines Transmission provider supporting 3 major UK Transmission Frameworks over the next 12-year period; National Grid (Great Grid Upgrade Project - GGP), SPEN and SSE.

Responsibilities:

• Erecting and reconductoring of existing and new overhead power lines up to 400kV in accordance with industry standards, company procedures, and safety regulations.
• Climbing, rigging and associated tasks to facilitate the erection and dismantling refurbishment of overhead line equipment
• Steelwork and replacement
• Maintenance of any existing power lines
• Responsibility for the safety of yourself and colleagues
• Participating in training to enhance knowledge and skills in overhead line operations

Experience:

• Previous demonstrable experience working with high-voltage towers (Apply online only)kV)
• LE1 or LE2 qualified
• Client authorisation (NG, SPEN, NGED & SSE)
• Working at height experience
• Proven track record of working with different configurations of conductor and conductor types
• Flexible approach to work and must be willing to work anywhere in the UK, so full UK Drivers Licence is needed
