Job description

We are seeking to appoint an Outreach Mentor to join our multi‑agency team, motivating young people who are at risk of exclusion, have been excluded or are out of school on a temporary basis for a variety of reasons.

This role will support families and young people with complex and multiple needs so that they are more able to access the curriculum. It involves managing a caseload of approximately 20 students to ensure they receive targeted intervention and support.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of GCSE Maths and English at grades A–C or equivalent
  • Driving licence and use of a vehicle
  • Experience and/or qualifications of working with pupils with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties
  • The ability to motivate and support vulnerable young people
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff, students, parents/carers and other professionals
  • A can‑do attitude
