Job Summary

To provide clinical leadership to the nursing and AHPs staff with the outpatient remit across the multiple sites, balancing safe services with excellent outcomes, delivering efficiencies and meeting the expectations of patients and the public. To provide clinical leadership to nursing and AHPs in delivering person-centred, safe and effective care and develop the leadership capability of others. To maintain a highly visible presence as a role model to staff, patients and visitors by working a minimum of 20% time in clinical practice across the range of services relevant to the role. To hold professional accountability for patient safety and effective care with a focus on strategic priorities such as excellent services to patients and carers, effective resource management and a robust training plan to meet service requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the provision of high quality, safe, effective care that meets the expectations of patients and the public.
  • Provide support and challenge to clinical teams using available resources, align ways of working with outpatient expectations, and achieve efficient outpatient sessions for patients.
  • Maintain credibility and flexibility as a competent practitioner in a changing environment and ensure full outpatient utilisation and productivity.

Essential Requirements
