A local educational authority is seeking an Out of Hours Assistant to work in their wraparound care facility. This role involves safeguarding children and preparing activities during after school hours. The ideal candidate should have effective communication skills and the ability to build rapport with children. This is a temporary part-time position, term-time only, starting on 3 November 2025.

Grade 1 £24,796 pro rata
10 hours per week, term time only
Temporary – required from 3 November 2025 (or as soon as possible thereafter) until 31 August 2026
We are seeking to appoint an Out of Hours Assistant to work in our wraparound provision. Working hours are 3.30 – 5.30pm Monday to Thursday, term time only. There may be a need in the future to extend this to a Friday too. We are looking for a warm and caring individual to support our wrap around care facility at our school.

Standard term time only pay is calculated on the basis of: 38 teaching weeks, plus 1.6 weeks for public holidays, plus 5.4 or 6.4 weeks of annual leave depending on length of service. For example:
Less than 5 years’ service: 38 weeks (+ 27 days annual leave) + 8 days public holidays = 45 weeks pay, paid in 12 equal monthly instalments. More than 5 years’ service: 38 weeks (+ 32 days annual leave) + 8 days public holidays = 46 weeks pay, paid in 12 equal monthly instalments.
