OT Security Director / Contract / 3 Months / Inside IR35 / Remote / £840 per day
Role Overview
We are seeking a senior OT Security leader to support a large-scale IT/OT DevOps transformation. This is a highly consultative, client‑facing role focused on executive coaching, operating model design, and organisational change, rather than hands‑on technical delivery. The engagement forms part of a broader transformation where the entire IT/OT organisation is moving from a traditional operating model to a DevOps, agile, interdisciplinary setup. The successful candidate will play a critical role in reshaping OT Security to act as an enabling function, rather than a delivery bottleneck.

OT Security Operating Model Transformation
- Design and embed a new OT Security operating model aligned to DevOps principles
- Ensure OT Security enables IT/OT teams to:

- Advise on IT/OT convergence, with primary focus on OT Security
- Provide light‑touch guidance on IT security aspects where required
Client Relationship & Growth
- Build strong relationships and credibility with senior client leaders
- Act as a door‑opener at executive level
- Identify opportunities to expand the engagement and convert them into follow‑on work
Required Experience & Profile
- Director / Senior Manager‑level experience in Cybersecurity and OT Security
- Strong background in operational technology environments (e.g. industrial, manufacturing, energy, utilities, critical infrastructure)
- Proven experience working within or advising on DevOps and agile transformations

- Comfortable coaching and challenging very senior leaders
- Commercially aware, with the ability to spot and shape new engagement opportunities
- Willing and able to work UK business hours
Key Attributes
- High gravitas and executive presence
- Trusted advisor mindset rather than hands‑on delivery focus
- Strong communicator, facilitator, and coach
- Able to balance security control with speed and autonomy
