Purpose of Position

The Operations Support and Compliance Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Standards (DOS) and Program Managers (PMs) at the Center in the administration of the CFR 14 Part 61/121/135/142, EASA, other NAA and FAA Order 8900.1 requirements by performing the following duties.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Working as part of our small and established Standards team, alongside an experienced member of staff, you will help us to ensure that we maintain and validate the qualifications of our Instructors and Examiners. This will help to keep us fully compliant with the legislative and regulatory requirements from our company and external organisations.

This will require the ability to assimilate and maintain a sufficiently high‑level understanding of specific information and an awareness of compliance matters that might affect FlightSafety. You will need to interpret information in a variety of different formats and keep up to date with changing requirements, some of which will be driven by company and/or legislative changes.

Minimum Education
  • Associate's degree from a two‑year college or technical school preferred, or three years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; equivalency years experience substitution must be in related field.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Accuracy and attention to detail with an understanding of how to present documents professionally is important, as is an understanding of the responsibilities of working with confidential information.

You’ll need to exercise discretion, use your initiative and prioritise to meet specific time requirements. You’ll also need to recognise when it is appropriate to escal ate matters for additional guidance to your manager and other members of the team.

You will have a friendly and professional attitude to develop excellent relationships with both colleagues and clients. Effective verbal and written communication skills are required to liaise with people at all levels. You’ll need to use your initiative and be confident enough to persuade, negotiate and challenge if needed, although full support will be provided.

You will be proficient in standard office IT such as Microsoft Office. It is also important that you have sufficient experience of databases in order to input, interrogate, interpret and present information in a report format to meet different levels of understanding within the organization. You’ll be accountable for information management to ensure that relevant data is accurate, timely, accessible, and can be presented in a coherent way.

Knowledge of data quality principles and standards relating to information security, with knowledge and experience of best practice in compliance processes and procedures would be helpful, but is not essential. Knowledge of the different regulations and licence requirements within the aviation industry would also be beneficial but are not essential.
