Job summary

A manufacturing company in Tamworth is seeking an individual to operate process plant and equipment efficiently. The role involves safe operation, maintaining raw material controls, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Candidates should possess strong awareness of HSE, an FLT driving licence, and excellent communication skills. This position requires adaptability to a 42-hour rotating shift schedule in a factory environment. PPE will be provided as necessary.

To operate process plant and equipment, in an efficient manner to maximise process output.

To participate in the continuous improvement activity to assure the sites efficiency, driving down manufacturing costs, waste materials and controlling the 7 wastes.

Responsibilities

Safe operation of plant and equipment, maintaining excellent housekeeping controls.

Maintain controls of raw materials to maximise use, reduce waste and control stock accuracy.

Work alongside the management team to improve Health, Safety and Environmental obligations, protecting the business and staff.

Maximising production on time in full to the production schedule.

Job role notesNote :

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

Working Hours : 42 hours per week - Rotating Shift
Week 1

Monday to Thursday 6am to 3pm with a 30 minute paid break each day and Friday 6am to 12noon with no break.

Week 2

Monday to Thursday 14:30pm to 23:30pm with a 30 minute paid break each day and Friday 11:30am to 17:30pm with no break.

Note

Flexibility to change shifts will be required.

Working Environment

Factory environment, process produces dust, vapour and fume Noise zone in Powders. PPE will be provided in accordance with site / task requirements.
