A leading transportation company is looking for an Operative in Birmingham to support the Highways Management & Maintenance Service. You will ensure timely delivery of highways and traffic management while adhering to safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of traffic management operations and relevant qualifications. This is a full-time role offering a salary between £28,000-£32,000 per year plus overtime.
We're looking for an Operative with traffic management experience to join our team based at Thimble Mill Lane, Birmingham. This role may involve working nights, weekends, and Bank Holidays, as required. You will also be part of the stand‑by and call‑out rota, supporting the delivery of works in line with KPI deadlines. A driving licence is an essential requirement for this role.

Hours: Permanent Fulltime 40 hours per week
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per year + Overtime + Callout

As an Operative, you’ll support the Birmingham Highways Management & Maintenance Service (BHMMS) Project in all aspects of highways maintenance, including all small highways work and all traffic management in line with the Red Book.
