We are looking for an experienced and driven Operations Supervisor to join our team in Goole. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, hitting production KPIs, maintaining the highest safety and quality standards, and supporting a motivated, high-performing team.


The Job

As an Operations Supervisor, you will:

  • Lead and supervise a team to deliver against daily production and performance targets.
  • Champion health & safety, ensuring full compliance and a safe working environment.
  • Maintain operational efficiency by managing downtime, stock, and workflow.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to drive quality and reduce waste.
  • Liaise with other departments including Technical, Quality, and H&S.
  • Deputise for the Operations Manager as required.

Please note this role will work across both of our Goole sites, so a driving licence is required.

This role is a Monday to Friday, 40hrs over two shifts (6am-2pm or 11am-7pm), flexibility to support the operational requirements is essential in this role.

Who are we looking for?

We’re after someone with strong leadership skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

Essential:

  • Experience of working in an FMCG manufacturing company.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Sound understanding of health & safety regulations and operational best practices.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and team management skills.
  • Competent using operational systems (e.g. ERP, stock management) and Microsoft Office.
  • A hands-on, can-do attitude with a focus on quality and results.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, able to multi task and thrives at achieving results.
  • Food Hygiene level 2 and IOSH working safely.

Desirable:

  • Formal supervisory or management training (e.g. ILM, NVQ).
  • IOSH Managing safely or equivalent H&S qualification.
  • Experience in CI/Lean practices and working in a regulated environment (e.g. food, FMCG, logistics).
