Operations / Project Manager - Fabrication Shop (Liverpool)

Location: Liverpool (Widnes area)

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm (30-minute break)

Contract Type: Ltd Company Contractor

Pay Rate: £25.00 - £30.00 per hour (Ltd)

Annual Equivalent: £52,000 per year (Ltd)

Start Date: ASAP

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established steel fabrication business in the Liverpool area. This company is known for delivering high-quality steelwork solutions across domestic, commercial, and industrial projects. With a strong reputation for precision, efficiency, and adherence to industry standards, they are seeking an Operations / Project Manager to oversee and drive their projects and day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee fabrication shop operations and manage ongoing projects from concept to completion.
• Lead and coordinate a team of 12 skilled staff, reporting directly to the Director.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Maintain strong contractual and operational oversight, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Provide hands-on support where required, demonstrating practical knowledge of steel fabrication processes.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience working with steel, ideally within a fabrication shop environment.
• Strong project management and operational leadership skills.
• Excellent contractual and communication abilities.
• Hands-on approach with the ability to support technical processes when needed.
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
• Ability to start immediately.
