Job description

We are supporting a leading, regional contractor in their search for an experienced Operations Manager. In this role, you would be leading an experienced team of Contracts Managers on a mixture of Civil Engineering & Groundworks projects.

The business is well-respected in their markets, have a strong financial position and are renowned for treating their staff well.

The Day Job :

You’ll be supporting the directorship team in executing the business plan. In essence, you’ll take ownership of project delivery. Dealing with procedural compliance, management reports and upholding standards.

Managing sub-contractor performance, ensuring quality and budget adherence.

Building on existing client relationships, focusing on a quality first approach to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.

You’ll be supporting their pre-con team, launching tenders and undertaking resource planning to ensure live and upcoming projects are covered.

Becoming the recruitment lead for the operational side of the business, focusing on development from within and helping to build long term careers.

Building programmes from tender documents, advising on risk & buildability

Assisting the wider team to ensure a safe working environment for all. Ensuring compliance with internal and external safety standards.

We are looking for a strong leader, capable of motivating teams and driving delivery. You’ll need vast experience in Civil Engineering and have the professional qualifications to back this up.

You’ll need experience of managing multiple projects of significant value at any one time. We would consider an experienced Contracts Manager stepping up or an existing Operational Lead
