About the Role

As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient day-to-day execution of warehouse and logistics activities at our Ostrava site. You will coordinate operational teams, support process adherence, maintain safety and quality standards, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

This position is ideal for someone who has solid hands-on logistics experience and is ready to take the next step in leading teams and improving processes.
This is a full-time, on-site role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily warehouse and logistics operations to ensure smooth and timely material flow.
  • Coordinate and support team leaders, supervisors, and operational staff.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, fire protection, quality, and internal process standards.
  • Support the implementation of workflows, work instructions, and continuous improvement practices (CIP/KVP, 5S).
  • Monitor operational KPIs and report performance results.
  • Assist with planning resource needs (staff allocation, shift planning, equipment).
  • Maintain clear communication with internal departments and external partners.
  • Participate in audits and ensure proper documentation and process adherence.
  • Support employee onboarding, training, and skill development.
  • Help identify operational issues and propose corrective actions to improve efficiency.
Requirements
  • ✔️ Completed vocational training or education in logistics, technical, or related fields
  • ✔️ Prior experience in warehouse or logistics operations
  • ✔️ Basic leadership or team coordination experience (e.g., team leader, coordinator, shift leader)
  • ✔️ Understanding of logistics processes, quality standards, and safety regulations
  • ✔️ Strong MS Office skills (especially Excel and Outlook)
  • ✔️ Good command of English or German
  • ✔️ Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • ✔️ Proactive mindset and willingness to take responsibility
Nice to Have
  • ➕ Experience in automotive or industrial logistics
  • ➕ Knowledge of ISO 9001, VDA standards, or other quality systems
  • ➕ Experience with continuous improvement tools (Lean, 5S, KVP)
  • ➕ Familiarity with ERP/WMS systems
  • ➕ Experience in training or developing operational staff
