This is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing a dedicated team, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery and maintaining the high standards our customers expect. You'll combine operational expertise with a people-first mindset — nurturing relationships with clients, carriers, and colleagues alike, fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the Operations team, promoting a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional development.
• Oversee all aspects of import and export ocean freight operations (FCL and LCL), ensuring accuracy, compliance and customer satisfaction.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, partners and suppliers to secure competitive rates and reliable service.
• Work closely with our sales team to develop tailored logistics solutions that meet client needs.
• Monitor and analyse performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

Experience Required

• At least 5 years' experience in freight forwarding, including leadership or supervisory experience.
• A strong understanding of international shipping, customs procedures, and INCOTERMS.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills — you value collaboration as much as performance.
• Proven ability to manage carrier relationships and deliver cost-effective solutions.
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong organisational and time management skills.
• Confidence with freight management systems and MS Office tools.
