Job description

Newport Surgery is looking to appoint an experienced o perations manager to help lead our organisation on a full-time basis for 37 hours per week over either 4 or 5 days.

Key responsibilities

• Lead with management of daily operations including reception admin and scheduling.
• Assist the PM in compliance with CQC NHS contractual obligations and health and safety regulations.
• Monitor and help support delivery of Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) targets.
• Assist in overseeing IT systems telephony and practice infrastructure.
• Help support service improvement initiatives audits and patient access planning.

About the Candidate

• Strong operational or practice management experience (NHS or healthcare preferred).
• Confident leader with excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Familiarity with EMIS and performance reporting.
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Self-motivated with a forward-thinking solution-focused approach.
• The ability to develop implement and embedpolicies procedures and guidelines.
• Experience of working in an ever-evolving environment with an ability to cope with regular change.
• Excellent organisational management and planning skills IT skills and communication skills.
