The Operations Manager will foster engagement through team activities and serve as a link between various teams. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving abilities, strong leadership skills, and a strategic mindset. This position offers a hybrid working model requiring weekly attendance at the London office.
We are seeking an Operations Manager to support our SZC portfolio within the Energy Division. This is a pivotal role in delivering one of the most complex and significant infrastructure projects in the UK: the construction of a new nuclear power station, contributing to the nation's Net Zero carbon target. This undertaking brings unique challenges, and your expertise will be essential in ensuring that our operational processes run seamlessly and efficiently. You will lead and develop a growing team, ensuring their wellbeing, capability development, and career progression, all aligned with Amentum's core values. Acting as a key link between the SZC portfolio and our central operational team, you will ensure that processes and procedures are implemented consistently and effectively. Your responsibilities will span recruitment and onboarding, mobilisation, vetting, and off‑boarding. You will enable line managers, and maintain strong connections with corporate functions to ensure smooth operations. Additionally, you will foster engagement through team briefs, social activities, and initiatives that keep our people connected and motivated.

We offer an exciting range of opportunities to develop your career within a supportive and diverse team who always strive to do the right thing for our people, clients and communities.
People are our greatest asset, and we offer a competitive package to retain and attract the best talent. In addition to the benefits you'd expect, UK employees also receive free single medical cover and digital GP service, family‑friendly benefits such as enhanced parental leave pay and free membership of employee assistance and parental programmes, plus reimbursement towards relevant professional development and memberships. Work‑life balance and flexibility is a key focus area for us. We're happy to discuss hybrid, part‑time and flexible working hours, patterns and locations to suit you and our business.
