A major broadcaster in the UK is looking for an Operations Executive (Sound) to manage the operational team and enhance staff engagement within the music area of its Media Operations. BBC Media Operations is at the heart of delivering incredible content across all our platforms for all audiences. Comprising around nine hundred people it manages the craft and production operations for the BBCs news radio and some sport services across London Salford Birmingham with teams across the main UK sites. Our team captures edits and produces output 24 / 7 for TV radio and digital platforms. We are experts in our field with exceptional technical operational and production creativity at our core. Working closely with our editorial colleagues we co-create content that reaches millions of people across the UK and the world daily. The team also manages production services editing and post-production stores some OB bases in England and the BBCs fleet of pool and broadcast vehicles.
The Music area is focussed on all the music output being delivered by Media Operations-in studios and in other locations. There are many stakeholders in commissioning and production areas as well as independent production companies. You will be their main point of contact and work with other areas in Media Operations to ensure the most effective and efficient programme delivery and operational process. You will lead the specialist operational team working in London as well as being the key point of contact for this area within Media Operations.
