Operations Analyst – Asset Based Lending (Corporate Finance / Debt Finance)

Our client, one of Europe’s leading alternative investment firms, is currently experiencing growth in the UK and seeks to recruit an Asset Based Lending specialist to join their Corporate Finance/Debt Finance team in London.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work for a pan-European investment group focused on creating value through operational improvements in companies with development potential. The firm is publicly listed in Germany and operates from offices in Germany and the UK.

With a track record of successful investments in over 100 companies across various geographies, industries, and sectors, the firm enhances operational performance by providing management expertise and financial resources for investment in products, sales, and R&D. They have liquid cash resources exceeding £200m for investment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead internal asset due diligence to evaluate ABL financing potential across different asset classes and jurisdictions.
2. Oversee third-party due diligence, valuation professionals, and appraisers, including field examiners.
3. Perform collateral calculations and reconciliations for asset-based lending borrowing bases, including accounts receivable, inventory, machinery, equipment, and property.
4. Assist in preparing financial reports and covenant compliance certificates.
5. Monitor existing asset-based lending facilities for portfolio companies.
6. Manage financing conditions with stakeholders, leading legal documentation workstreams.
7. Coordinate with banks and asset-based lenders throughout the facility lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in Asset Based Lending Operations and/or Risk.
