A leading European insurance technology company seeks an Operational Resilience Lead in Greater London to develop and enhance its Operational Resilience framework. The role requires extensive experience in operational risk and a solid understanding of PRA/FCA regulations. Collaborating with multiple stakeholders, the successful candidate will ensure regulatory compliance and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The Wakam UK Operations team is responsible for maintaining regulatory readiness, operational excellence, and resilience across all our systems and services. We ensure that our critical business operations are secure, scalable, and compliant with evolving PRA and FCA expectations. You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including our third‑party partners, to lead Wakam UK’s operational resilience agenda.
As Operational Resilience Lead, you’ll spearhead the development, execution, and enhancement of Wakam UK’s Operational Resilience framework. You will play a critical role in aligning regulatory requirements with internal strategies, ensuring that our Important Business Services (IBS) remain within tolerances—even in disruptive scenarios.
Own and evolve the full UK Operational Resilience framework (policies, methodologies, templates)
Chair the UK OpRes Working Group and manage governance documentation
Build strong cross‑functional alignment across departments and third‑party stakeholders
Ensure timely and accurate PRA / FCA communications, including breach declarations
Maintain up‑to‑date filings and board‑ready reports on Operational Resilience posture
10 years of experience in operational risk, business continuity, or operational resilience in UK insurance (mandatory)
Strong command of PRA / FCA regulations relating to operational resilience
Proven ability to manage cross‑functional governance and RACI frameworks
Experience working with outsourcing arrangements and third‑party risk
Strong project management and analytical skills
Experience with vulnerability assessments, BCP, DR testing, and reporting
Analytical and detail‑oriented, with strong documentation and compliance focus
Collaborative, proactive communicator who thrives in a cross‑functional role
Resilient and adaptable under pressure, with excellent stakeholder engagement skills
Strategic thinker with strong leadership presence and ethical standards
Passionate about continuous improvement and staying ahead of regulatory expectations
