A leading packaging technology company is seeking a Toolmaker based in Leeds, UK. This fully onsite role requires experience servicing injection mould tools and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have an apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering and strong mechanical skills. Qualifications

• Hands-on, detail-oriented individual with strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrates sound decision-making based on data.

Responsibilities

• Service mould tools for use in the Production department.
• Maintain and test mould hot runner systems.
• Disassemble and reassemble moulds.
• Perform metal polishing and fault identification.
• Respond to tool breakdowns and execute timely repairs.
• Advise on new tooling projects and design improvements.
• Manufacture fixtures and spare parts for tooling.
• Maintain high standards of record keeping and housekeeping.

Skills

Experience servicing and repairing injection mould tools

Ability to identify mould vs. process-related faults

Skilled in metal polishing and tool assembly/disassembly

Proficient in using internal systems and maintaining documentation

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Education

Toolmaking apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering
