Job description
What skills and experience we’re looking for

One‑to‑one Tutor of English – hourly rate £17.83 to £35.78 depending on qualifications (£35.78 QTS, £25.77 relevant degree but no QTS, £17.83 no degree and no QTS).

Start as soon as possible following clearances.

Workload: 14 hours per week, variable hours on a casual, ad‑hoc basis.

Outwood Academy Easingwold is an 11‑18 academy located on the outskirts of Easingwold, easily accessible from Thirsk, Ripon, York, Boroughbridge and surrounding villages. We are proud of our tradition of serving the families of the community.

As a tutor you will join a strong department with a wealth of experience in teaching English at Key Stage 3 and GCSE. The department is led by an experienced Head of Department and focuses on expert quality teaching, swift identification of gaps in knowledge and a strong 1:1 provision.

You do not need to be a qualified teacher – a recent graduate with a degree may join to see if teaching is for you, and a fully qualified teacher with QTS may also apply for ad‑hoc hours.
