Job Description

One Stop, located at Exeter Woodwater Lane Heavitree, is hiring a Customer Service Assistant. Join our team to work in a fast-paced retail environment where no two days are alike.

Your role involves supporting store operations by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and maintaining store appearance. You will focus on improving customer experience through on-the-job coaching and feedback, ensuring a safe shopping and working environment.

Responsibilities
  • Serve customers with passion and pride, delivering natural, friendly service.
  • Encourage customer feedback via surveys.
  • Work across various store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines.
  • Implement safety training and procedures.
  • Participate in seasonal, community, and charity events to foster an inclusive atmosphere.
  • Understand store performance and contribute to profitability.
  • Follow company policies, live our values, and create a welcoming environment.
  • Accurately clock in and out to ensure correct pay.
  • Follow security procedures and wear safety equipment as required.
  • Adhere to the 'Think 25' policy when serving age-restricted products.
  • Respond promptly to assistance calls, explaining actions to customers.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment.
  • Potentially manage shifts in absence of supervisors.
  • Complete all relevant training to ensure safety and legality.
  • If applicable, undertake post office operations and pass necessary background checks.
