About the role

We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same.

You will play an important role in the store's daily operations by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and helping maintain the store’s appearance.

As customer service is at the heart of our business, you will constantly seek ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback.

You will help ensure the store remains a safe place to work and shop.

You will be Responsible For
  • Serving customers with passion and pride, providing natural and great service.
  • Encouraging customer feedback through surveys.
  • Working across all store areas, including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines.
  • Practicing safety in all tasks based on training.
  • Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
  • Understanding store performance and contributing to profit.
  • Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
  • Clocking in and out accurately for proper payment.
  • Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment.
  • Following the "think 25" policy when serving age-restricted products.
  • Responding promptly to assistance calls or interventions at self-checkouts.
  • Keeping the store clean, tidy, and organized.
  • Potentially running shifts in the absence of supervisors.
  • Following all training for safety and legal compliance.
  • If applicable, operating the Post Office, including passing background checks. Failure to pass checks will result in withdrawal of the job offer.
