Job summary

A prominent engineering firm in the UK is seeking a highly experienced Instrument Engineer for a long-term contract. The role involves providing operations and maintenance support to offshore installations, acting as the technical focal point for instrumentation issues, and supervising planned maintenance activities. Candidates should possess an HNC/HND or BSc in Instrument Engineering, relevant certifications, and substantial Oil and Gas sector experience. Excellent communication skills are a must, and candidates need to have the Right to Work in the UK.

Qualifications

  • Chartered/Incorporated status is desirable.
  • All offshore certifications must be valid including BOSIET, CA-EBS, MIST, and Medical.
  • Demonstrable operational experience in Offshore/Oil and Gas.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operations and maintenance support to offshore installations.
  • Act as the onshore technical focal point for instrumentation and control issues.
  • Prepare for planned and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Review vendor and close out reports for technical content.
  • Monitor planned maintenance routines and equipment performance.
  • Identify modifications for continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
