Salary: £13.05 per hour (£25,185 pro rata)

Hours: 32.5 hours per week (8.30-3.30 Monday to Friday, 30‑minute unpaid lunch break), 39 weeks per year

Bawdsey Primary School are looking to appoint an Office Manager to work in our busy school office.

Bawdsey Primary is a thriving rural Church of England school with a family atmosphere. The beautiful school and grounds are located in an area of outstanding natural beauty and historical interest – close to the coast, the River Deben and the market town of Woodbridge.

Bawdsey has small mixed aged classes and, as a result, we can give each child the attention they need to succeed. We have high expectations for the children and aim for the pupils to have a wide variety of opportunities while they are with us. The school staff are committed to helping pupils gain a strong sense of community and belonging. Pupils are happy and safe. (Good Ofsted June 2024 and Good SIAMs 2020). Purpose of the Role

To be responsible for the school office, the school financial, HR and administration systems. In addition, the postholder will provide the Headteacher with a full and comprehensive administrative service to enable the school to deliver and sustain education excellence.

Responsibilities
  • lead the school’s administrative office, enabling teaching staff colleagues to enhance their effectiveness and help them to achieve and constantly improve standards of learning and achievement
  • help to promote the highest standards of business ethos within the administrative function of the school and work with the Central MAT team to ensure the most effective use of resources in support of learning objectives
  • attend governors’ or other Leadership team meetings as required
  • be highly organised with excellent interpersonal skills
  • maintain the highest levels of professionalism, confidentiality and discretion
  • have the ability to work across a number of disciplines (such as Finance, HR, Premises)
  • be experienced in the use of IT packages
  • be positive and resilient
  • have School Office experience (Highly desirable)
