Overview

Are you an experienced Office Manager looking for a role where you can truly make your mark and drive significant change?

Valeco Recruitment is excited to be partnering with a long-established, family-run business just outside Bonnyrigg to hire a highly motivated and experienced Office Manager.

This isn't your average Office Manager role. Our client has a traditional paper-based office and needs an individual with vision to lead their digital transformation. You will be given free rein to plan, implement, and manage the transition to a modern, fully digital functioning office.

What You\'ll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities)

Your primary focus as the Office Manager will be leading the digital change, but you will also be responsible for the day-to-day administrative function.

  • Digital Transformation: Taking ownership of the entire process to convert the current paper-based filing system to a secure, efficient digital one.
  • Managing all general office paperwork and processes.
  • Invoicing and processing using Sage.
  • Supporting and communicating with customers and clients.
  • Answering all incoming telephone calls.
  • General office administration.
What You\'ll Need (Skills & Experience)

To be successful in this Office Manager position, you must be a confident, proactive self-starter with a proven track record:

  • Experience: Proven, substantial experience at an Office Manager or Senior Administrator level.
  • IT Skills: Excellent working knowledge and confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Sage.
  • Digital Drive: A passion for creating efficient digital processes.
  • Communication: Excellent telephone manner and client support skills.
  • Proactive: Ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively.
Flexible Working & Benefits

We know work-life balance is important, and our client offers superb flexibility:

  • Salary: Competitive, offering up to £35,000 per year (DOE).
  • Contract: A choice between a 35 or 38-hour per week contract.
  • Hours: Flexible start times (8:00 AM - 9:00 AM) and very flexible finishing times.
  • Early Finish Friday: The entire team finishes early every Friday at 2:30 PM!
  • 4-Day Week: Our client is open to considering a 4 full-day working week for the right candidate.
  • Holiday: 28 days annual holiday entitlement.
