Job description

We are looking to appoint an Office Administrative Assistant to join our friendly team. This is a term time only role. We are looking for someone who will offer a warm welcome to visitors at reception, possess strong administrative skills and a friendly disposition to join our busy school office.

Witton Middle school is based in Droitwich, catering for children in Years 5, 6 and 7, we provide an effective bridge between First School and High School. Our curriculum is designed to create confident, curious, and collaborative individuals who will make a difference in the world. Our children receive expert teaching and benefit from excellent specialist facilities which foster increasing levels of independence in learning.

The ideal candidate will possess GCSE English and Maths Grade 4 or above. You will need to use your own initiative and work to clear deadlines maintaining a calm and professional manner. You should have excellent interpersonal skills, strong organisational ability, the ability to prioritise your work and work effectively both as a team member and on your own. You must be an excellent communicator, have a good standard of literacy and numeracy and experience of using ICT applications such as Word and Excel. The postholder will administer first aid so will possess an up to date first aid certificate or be willing to undergo relevant training.

This varied role is central to the smooth running of the school and includes reception duties as the first point of contact for pupils, visitors, alongside a range of administrative responsibilities. The post also has a marketing element, supporting school communications, events and the promotion of our school within the community.

Hours: 35 hours per week, Term Time only (8.30am - 4.00pm Monday to Friday)

Grade:Scale 3 (5-6) - £24,790 p.a. - £25,183 p.a. Pro-Rata salary £20,792 - £21,122 p.a.
