A local government authority in Manchester seeks an Occupational Therapy Team Manager to lead a team of OTs in performing complex assessments and ensuring the highest quality of service delivery to citizens. The ideal candidate will possess a BSc Hons in Occupational Therapy, have relevant managerial experience, and be knowledgeable about social care legislation. An exciting opportunity has arisen within adult social care for an Occupational Therapy Team Manager to be part of MEAP (Manchester Equipment and Adaptations Partnership)
Theroleholder will manage a team of OTs who carry out complex assessments for specialist equipment and adaptations, along with moving and handling assessments
Theroleholder will provide a comprehensive and streamlined service to citizens, to maximise independence, choice, safety and quality of life.
The key functions of theroleinclude chairing nonstock equipment panel for both staff within MEAP and our colleagues in health, managing performance in relation to KPIs and targets. Signing off assessments and providing support, guidance and advice in relation to assessment outcomes
The main objective of the team is to enable people to live as independently as possible within their own homes. Theroleholder will work closely with Health, Care agencies, families and key stakeholders to ensure delivery of a cohesive, efficient and cost-effective service.
