Job description

We are currently recruiting Band 5 occupational therapists permanently on our rotational scheme.

We offer a six‑month rotational programme across 10 clinical areas including elective/trauma orthopaedics, renal medicine, oncology, STAT (A&E), general medicine, surgical and vascular services, OPU (older people), stroke, critical care, bedded rehabilitation unit, community falls team and intermediate care services. We are looking for highly motivated occupational therapists with excellent communication and organisational skills to join the occupational therapy department.

Staff will be required to participate in all areas of the rotation and 7‑day services. Rotations cover both the acute hospitals at Guy’s and St Thomas’, Royal Brompton Hospital, and a number of community posts in Lambeth and Southwark.

Responsibilities
  • To participate in designated rotations.
  • To be responsible for the assessment, treatment, implementation and documentation of Occupational Therapy interventions within nominated clinical specialities.
  • To develop positive and collaborative working relationships across Health and Social Care.
  • To be responsible for the maintenance and development of own CPD and continuous learning.
