Job Description

This well-established name within the Health and Safety industry provide a variety of professional services to a mixed portfolio of clients/sectors. Due to current business requirements they are now looking for an experienced Occupational Hygienist based in North London to cover a variety of contracts in the north west area. Applications from Enfield, Edgware, Watford, Cheshunt and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & experience

• Must come from a strong technical, consultancy, educational, Health & Safety, water and chemical background.
• Must be qualified, experienced Occupational Hygienist – holding BIOH/IOA or equivalent qualifications.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A good working knowledge of the industries involved.
• Competent in use of Microsoft office package.
• p401/p402/p403/p404/p404 or s301 CCP.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertaking a wide range of occupational hygiene related projects such as workplace assessments – air monitoring, COSHH assessments, noise, fumes, dust, chemical agents, hand‑arm vibration surveys, local exhaust ventilation (LEV) examination and testing and indoor air quality.
• Emissions Testing.
• Manual Handling.
• Site Assessments.
• Reviewing and approving assessments.
• Site visits to ensure Health & Safety procedures are adhered to.
• Manage and deliver projects within timescales required.
• Ensuring compliance to MCERTS standards.
• Working on a variety of projects.
• Presentations to staff, company and contractors in relation to occupational hygiene.
