Job description

OH Medical are recruiting an experienced Occupational Health Technician to join the established team of a leading Occupational Health Provider in a full time, permanent role. This role involves working alongside a fantastic multidisciplinary occupational health team on the client site in Plymouth.

The Remit:

As an Occupational Health Technician, you'll be a key part of the team delivering top-quality occupational health services. Your role will involve carrying out a variety of health assessments, supporting wellbeing initiatives, and helping ensure the occupational health services run smoothly and effectively.

What you’ll be doing:

• Carrying out health surveillance such as audiometry, spirometry, vision screening, and health questionnaires

• Supporting the delivery of workplace health promotion and wellbeing initiatives

• Assisting Occupational Health Nurses and Physicians in providing a responsive, high-quality service

• Keeping accurate, confidential medical records in line with best practice

• Ensuring all equipment is correctly stored, well-maintained, and calibrated

• Staying informed and up-to-date with current occupational health practices and standards

Skills Required:

• Experienced OHT or Ambulance EMT, Military Medic, Offshore Medic with knowledge and experience of working in Occupational Health

• Able to demonstrate a self-motivated and proactive approach to work

• Possess solid IT skills

• Be able to prioritise own workload and manage own time effectively

• Capable of working flexibly and meeting strict deadlines

• Able to work both independently and within a team framework

• Be able to demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral

Hours:

• Monday to Thursday 7.30 am to 4 pm

• Fridays 7.30 am to 2.45 pm.
