JOB OVERVIEW

Occupational Health Nurse / Advisor / Practitioner who is a registered nurse with experience in a manufacturing environment is required for a well-established company based in Golborne, Wigan, Greater Manchester, North West England.

SALARY: £20.00 - £25.00 per Hour (Dependent on Experience) + Benefits (see Below)

LOCATION: Golborne, Wigan, Greater Manchester, North West England

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: Flexible hours

DUTIES

Your duties as an Occupational Health Nurse / Advisor / Practitioner will include:

  • Deliver and coordinate health surveillance programs in accordance with health and safety regulations and industry standards (e.g., COSHH, Noise, HAVS, etc.)
  • Completing fitness to work cases and capability assessments
  • Offer wellbeing support where needed
  • Facilitate return to work assessments and phased returns
  • Physical and mental health assessments
  • Conduct workplace assessments as and where required
  • Drug & Alcohol testing where required
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulations
  • Monitor employee health trends and recommend interventions as necessary
  • Help to continuously improve service delivery and operations
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
  • A registered Nurse
  • Diploma in Occupational Health Practice is preferred
  • Previous experience of clinical nursing experience, with some experience in occupational health or a related field
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of occupational health surveillance programs and relevant regulations
  • Able to analyse and interpret clinical data to inform decision-making
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and confidentiality
