A leading healthcare provider in Wales is seeking a Health Care Support Worker to assist in patient care on St Caradog Ward. You will work under the supervision of qualified nurses, engaging with patients in a busy environment. Ideal candidates will have experience in an adult acute in-patient setting and demonstrate dynamic practice. This role requires flexibility to meet service needs, including night shifts.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Health Care Support Worker, Band 3 on St Caradog Ward, an Adult Mental Health Ward in Haverfordwest. The successful applicant will have experience of working in an adult acute in-patient setting and will demonstrate dynamic and innovative practice. The Service strives to provide high quality acute inpatient mental health care to the local population, and the post holder would be expected to demonstrate leadership and resilience in the face of the day-to-day clinical, managerial and professional demands of the role. The Nursing Support Worker is a vital part of the multidisciplinary team. Acting under the direction of registered nurses, the Nursing Support Worker is responsible for engaging in a variety of interventions with patients, ranging from direct, compensatory nursing care to monitoring physical health and engaging in psychosocial interventions in the wider community and in the patient\'s own home. The Nursing Support Worker contributes to the patients\' recovery pathway in a number of key ways, providing role modelling for effective and reciprocal communication and relationships.

Successful applicants will work as part of a multidisciplinary team but must be able to work flexibly to suit the needs of the service and within a shift system providing 24-hour-a-day cover, 365 days a year including nights.
