Nursing Assistants Band 3 - Ward 25 Sub Acute / Respiratory Ward North Tyneside

An exciting opportunity has arisen on Ward 25 North Tyneside General Hospital. We require a nursing assistant to join our team.

We are looking for experienced candidates who have commitment to ensuring safe and high quality care is delivered to our patients, as well as being a role model and supporting other members of the multidisciplinary team.

You will be expected to work as part of a dynamic nursing team, delivering all aspects of care to patients and have excellent communication skills. Previous experience in a similar setting is desirable but not essential. This post will be rotational between day/night shift and cover seven days a week. The post holder is expected to be flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of the trust. You are also expected to work shifts (early, late and nights).

Responsibilities
  • The main purpose of the role is to plan, implement and evaluate nursing care working as a member of the multidisciplinary team under the supervision of the nurses and the ward manager.
  • To assist the qualified nursing staff in the delivery of high quality direct and indirect patient care.
  • To provide assistance and support to patients, carers and the multi-disciplinary team.
  • To maintain high clinical standards.
  • To help maintain a clean and safe ward environment.

Clinical Duties
  • Undertakes a range of delegated clinical care duties in hospital, community, and other settings.
  • Records patient observations and changes to patient clinical conditions.
  • Carries out limited clinical care duties.
  • To work under the supervision of a qualified nurse and assist in the implementation of both direct and non-direct patient care.
  • To provide and promote high quality care under the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional.
