Nursing Assistant

We're looking for compassionate and caring Nursing Assistants with a passion to be a key part of the patient care journey here at Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MFT). Our Nursing Assistants take great pride in the essential work we do. That's because we're not just helping patients, we're going the extra mile for them — day in, day out. Our nursing teams are committed to caring for our patients and families, delivering consistent, high quality, patient focused care.

You will communicate in a sensitive and compassionate manner with patients, relatives, and other members of the multidisciplinary team. The service runs 7 days a week, and operates between 17:00 and 22:00 and includes Bank Holidays, Christmas and New Year.

Main duties of the job

Working under the supervision of Registered Nurses and within Trust guidelines & protocols, you will assist in delivering the excellent patient care you would expect for yourself and your loved ones.

Your duties will involve supporting patients with personal care needs, and will involve traveling to patients' homes from various locations.

Following on the job training & assessment, you will learn how to undertake a range of delegated duties.

Previous community experience is preferred; however, training will be available.
