Job description

We are seeking a Nursery Room leader. Please only apply if you have a minimum level 3 childcare qualification alongside experience as a practitioner or room leader.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise nursery staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care and education for all children.
Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning through play, fostering children's physical, emotional, and social development.
Maintain a safe and clean environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress, behaviour, and any concerns that may arise.
Manage daily operations of the nursery room, including scheduling staff shifts and ensuring adequate staffing levels.
Collaborate with other team members to create a cohesive approach to childcare and education.
Stay updated on best practices in early childhood education and childcare policies.
Requirements

Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education is essential.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
A background in nursery management or related fields is highly desirable.
Ability to drive may be beneficial for transporting children or resources as needed.
A genuine passion for working with children and fostering their development through engaging activities.
