About the Leicester City Nursery

Busy Bees at Leicester City is rated "Good" by Ofsted and has a capacity of 54 children. Opened in 2003, our beautiful three‑storey listed Victorian building features light and airy rooms designed for babies, toddlers, and pre‑school children. Each space is carefully planned to provide flexible areas for both group and individual play within various activity zones. The nursery is situated in the conservation area of New Walk, close to the railway station, Victoria Park, and the Museum. We pride ourselves on being a multicultural nursery, providing halal food and teaching children different languages during registration.

What to Expect as a Nursery Practitioner
  • Create a safe, stimulating environment: Prepare materials and arrange rooms to encourage children’s growth and learning.
  • Lead educational activities: Plan and deliver activities that support children’s physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development, aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Key person role: Oversee children’s development, care needs, and build strong family connections.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education.
  • Proven experience working with children under 5 and a genuine interest in early childhood education.
  • Good communication skills and excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to apply knowledge of child development to plan and deliver activities.
