Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our team at a small but busy nursery in the heart of the community. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and providing a nurturing environment for their development.

Duties
  • Engage children in educational activities and play to support their learning and development.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills in managing a group of children within the nursery setting.
  • Provide high-quality childcare in line with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidelines.
  • Create and maintain an organised and stimulating environment for children to thrive.
  • Drive continuous improvement in childcare practices and contribute to the nursery's success.
Requirements
  • Proficient in English language skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with children, parents, and staff effectively.
  • Leadership qualities would be desirable.
  • Qualifications in childcare, early childhood education.
Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of SVQ level 3 in childcare and education or equivalent.

PVG and SSSC Registration

PVG and SSSC registration are a requirement for this position as well as at least two references, one being from most current/ last employment.
