Job description

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Nursery Nurse to join a friendly and supportive early years team. The successful candidate will help create a warm, safe and stimulating environment where every child can learn, develop and thrive. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Nursery Nurse:

  • Provide high-quality care and learning experiences for children.

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

  • Observe, assess and record each child’s progress and development.

  • Support children’s personal, social and emotional development.

  • Build positive relationships with children, parents/carers and colleagues.

  • Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment at all times.

  • Promote the safeguarding and welfare of all children.

Ideal Nursery Nurse:

  • A recognised Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years Education (e.g. NVQ Level 3, CACHE Diploma, or equivalent).

  • Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.

  • Good knowledge of the EYFS framework and statutory requirements.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills as a Nursery Nurse.

  • A nurturing, patient and adaptable approach to working with young children.

  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
