Role
The Role:
- Join a thriving nursery teams dedicated to creating a nurturing, engaging, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow.
- As a valued Nursery Manager you'll support children aged 0-5 years, planning exciting activities, promoting learning through play, and ensuring every child feels supported and valued.
- The salary is around £35k per year based on 35-40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Leadership & Management: Provide professional leadership and management of the nursery's day-to-day operations.
- Lead, train, and mentor staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
- Recruit, develop, and retain high-quality nursery staff.
- Childcare & Education: Ensure the delivery of high-quality care and learning experiences for children aged 0-5 years.
- Develop and implement an engaging curriculum that meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment that promotes children's learning and development.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure the nursery meets all legal and statutory requirements for health, safety, and child protection.
- Implement and enforce robust safeguarding procedures and policies.
- Oversee fire drills and ensure all emergency procedures are in place and followed.
- Administrative & Financial Duties: Manage nursery budgets and monitor financial forecasting.
- Keep accurate records and create regular reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee the ordering and maintenance of nursery resources and equipment.
- Parent & Community Engagement: Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with parents and carers.
- Communicate children's progress and provide support to families.
- Collaborate with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and other professionals.
