Nursery Manager – Enfield EN2

Salary: £38k - £42k PA | Free Parking | Excellent Transport Links

Hours: 40 hours/week, with shifts between 7.30am – 6pm.

Are you a skilled and passionate Nursery Manager with a flair for building something exceptional from the ground up? VD Recruitment is thrilled to partner with a brand-new nursery in the Enfield area, dedicated to setting the gold standard in early years education.

We are looking for a motivated and visionary Nursery Manager to shape the nursery from day one, lead and inspire a talented team, create a warm and nurturing environment, and establish outstanding care and educational practices for our youngest learners. This is a unique opportunity to make your mark and grow a nursery that truly reflects your expertise and values.

Responsibilities
  • Leading and motivating a dedicated team, encouraging professional development and high-quality practice.
  • Delegating tasks to ensure the smooth running of all nursery rooms.
  • Building strong partnerships with parents and forming secure relationships with children.
  • Being an integral part of the Senior Management team, contributing to staff appraisals and performance management.
  • Conducting peer observations, management spot checks, and focusing on quality interactions.
  • Creating and monitoring children’s health care plans.
  • Mentoring and training Room Leaders.
  • Organising and participating in parent events.
  • Ensuring daily and weekly checks are completed to the highest standard.
  • Maintaining professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
Person Specification
  • Level 3 in Childcare & Education.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding procedures.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive, motivated, and passionate about working with children.
  • Competent ICT skills.

Subject to an Enhanced DBS Certificate and references.
